New Website and other updates

The other week I said I would be working on my friend’s Bloggers of Health website in WordPress. She decided to go with someone with more WordPress experience instead. I did help her with some graphics and information on hosting, language translation and other things she’ll need for the site, and I’ll be helping with content and other ideas once the site is done.

I have another friend for whom I’ll be doing a portfolio site in WordPress soon. In the meantime, I’ve started a new project of my own as part of a bid to host a 2014 family reunion: http://areliajones.com/webfolio/ttm2014/.

For this site I’ve learned about fluid background images:

CSS Tricks – http://css-tricks.com/perfect-full-page-background-image/

…and I needed some review on positioning:

Additionally, I reviewed Nicole Sullivan’s OOCSS slides while trying to decide how best to bottom align my footer text and I am practicing wth JavaScript by implementing jCarousel.
